In a downtown Fort Lauderdale high-rise apartment, our customer wanted a clean, modern look: a TV on the wall, the soundbar mounted right beneath it, and no cables in sight. Here's how the install came together.
A floating TV and soundbar combo
We mounted the TV on a low-profile onn. Fixed TV Wall Mount, which supports 32"–86" TVs and holds up to 120 lbs. That's plenty of headroom, and its slim profile keeps the screen sitting tight against the wall.
Directly below the screen, the soundbar was wall-mounted using the Rocketfish Universal Soundbar Mounting System. Floating the soundbar instead of resting it on the console keeps the audio perfectly centered under the TV and frees up the cabinet below.
Hiding the cables without opening the wall
Because this is an apartment, we kept the wall fully intact and routed every wire through a surface-mounted white cable raceway. The channel runs straight down from the TV and soundbar to the media console and snaps shut over the cables for a tidy finish. It's paintable, so it can be color-matched to the wall, and it leaves no holes behind — a great option for renters who still want that built-in look.
The result
Start to finish, the full soundbar installation took about 45 minutes: TV mounted, soundbar floated, and every cable concealed.
