Snowbird-ready: a Jupiter condo install for owners who arrive in November

Half our Palm Beach work happens in the fall, ahead of snowbird season. Here's a typical Jupiter install from last week — and the things we always check on these jobs.

Snowbird-ready: a Jupiter condo install for owners who arrive in November

Mr. and Mrs. Foster bought their Jupiter condo in March 2025 but won't live in it full-time until November. They wanted everything mounted and finished by October so they could fly in to a finished home. The condo is on the 12th floor of a 2008 building — drywall, no concrete.

The install itself was straightforward — 55" tilting mount, cord concealment, $196 total. What's different about snowbird work is the prep checklist.

Things we always check on long-empty units

Power: we confirm with the building management that AC and outlets are live in the unit before we book — empty units sometimes have utilities throttled. Humidity: South Florida summers can push 80%+ humidity even with AC off. We don't leave brand-new electronics installed in unconditioned units. We always recommend the owner program their thermostat to maintain 78°F until they return.

Small things, but they save the kind of headaches that turn a five-star review into a one-star.
